Child Aid International was founded on a very simple premise: that all children, regardless of race, ethnicity, or faith, deserve to enjoy their childhood and see their dreams come true. To reach that goal, Child Aid International relies on the very generous donations of its supporters, whether those donations are one-time gifts or ongoing.

The Child Aid International Orphan Child Sponsorship Program makes it possible to ensure a needy child receives ongoing financial and emotional support and helps to provide basic meals, much-needed clothing, an education and medical attention.

For about a dollar a day, sponsors get to experience the joy that comes from knowing they’re shaping the life of a child whose future without sponsorship would be bleak. Child Aid International prides itself on mending the broken hearts of children left devastated by war, but it’s only with your help that this mending occurs.

The Orphan Child Sponsorship Program is very simple in execution: Child Aid International works hard to identify children who are most in need. Extensive research is done by those on the ground to ensure the children taken into the program are indeed orphaned and truly in need. Once the children are identified, a detailed file is created and they are linked with generous donors committed to helping children in need. Sponsorship costs about a dollar a day, but the benefits it gives to both the recipients and the donors is priceless.

Every child who is cared for by Child Aid International is monitored by a team of passionate volunteers who is dedicated to their success. Social and physical well-being is tracked at every level; not just the fulfillment of basic needs – health, education, clothing, and food – but also ongoing emotional care is provided to ensure every Child Aid International child can realize his or her dreams.

Child Aid International is staffed entirely by volunteers who give not only of their time but also provide essential organizational and administrative services. The result is that more than 90% of the funds donated reach those in need.

At present, Child Aid International is pleased to announce that there are more than 200 orphaned children receiving ongoing sponsorship. With a goal of more than 1,000 sponsored children throughout Iraq, we know we’ve got a long road ahead of us, but with your help we can bridge that distance quickly and help repair the damaged lives of these needy orphaned children.
